Audio Genesis has been a specialist Linn retailer in Sydney, Australia since opening in 1985.
Linn was founded in the early 1970s by Ivor Tiefenbrun MBE. Most well known for their very first product, the iconic Sondek LP12 turntable. Every single Linn product is assembled by hand in their Glasgow factory, and extensively tested to ensure it delivers outstanding performance.
Ivor proved for the first time that a better turntable improves the sound of any hi-fi system. Introducing what is taken for granted today, the notion of "garbage in, garbage out" (also called "source-first"). What's more is that Linn introduced the concept of single speaker demonstration in hi-fi retailers. Intended to replecate the reality of a person's home listening environment.

Looking to upgrade your LP12? From upgrading to the Karousel bearing, installing a Lingo power supply, to fitting a new cartridge, we can provide recommendations and are experienced in installation.
LP12 Servicing:
To ensure your Sondek LP12 is at peak performance, a service may be ideal. A general service includes bearing oil change, new springs and gromets, and ensuring your turntable is optimally set up. More adjustments may be necessary depending on your LP12’s condition.
