Rega Phono Stages
The Fono MC MK4 is an exceptionally high quality MC phono stage designed to maximise the potential of any low output MC cartridge. Although specifically designed to complement the latest Rega range of moving coils you will find full adjustability for gain and loading via dip switches conveniently placed on the rear panel making the Fono MC MK4 compatible with a wide range of third party low output MC cartridges.
The Fono MC MK4 has been designed to be effective, easy to use, and above all, to reproduce music. The Fono MC MK4 uses the Linear Systems low noise LSK389 FET in an all discrete input stage where low noise and linearity are vitally important to get the best from an MC cartridge. Because of the high input impedance of FET, the loading effects of the amplifier circuit are minuscule and do not affect the performance of the cartridge.

The Fono MM MK5 phono stage has been designed to be effective, easy to use and above all, to reproduce music. The Fono MM MK5 uses a fully discrete, cascaded, complementary amplifier input stage, a configuration designed to optimise the performance of your moving magnet cartridge. Now housed in a brand new redesigned case to match the new Fono MC and Rega’s latest range of electronic components offering a modern look guaranteed to integrate in to any hi-fi system.
The aesthetic design of the Fono MM was as important as the quality of its electrical capabilities, so it benefits from the same updated aluminium case as the Rega Neo and Fono MC amplifier, giving it a design which offers a familiar feel and moreover brings it in line with its illustrious bigger brothers. The RIAA equalization has been split into two stages to minimise interaction. Polyester capacitors have been used in the signal path and polypropylene capacitors are used in the RIAA equalization circuits.

The all new Nd7 moving magnet cartridge was developed over 10 years and promises to deliver ‘next level’ performance from moving magnet technology. The Nd range is a world first to use ultra-high powered Neodymium magnets in a moving magnet design which allows Rega to create this totally unique design.
Each Nd7 is meticulously hand-made by Rega’s highly skilled technicians. The Nd7 uses Rega’s most advanced “fine line” nude diamond profile for the ultimate in detail retrieval. (The same profile is used on Rega’s high end MC models the Apheta 3 and Aphelion 2). This profile has an exceptionally small radii Monocrystalline manmade diamond with the minor radius being just 3µm (microns) as viewed from the top and 30µm in the vertical when viewed from the front. This profile allows immediate adjustment to very small changes in the vinyl due to the small contact area of the diamond which results in exceptional levels of detail being retrieved. The design uses brand new generator geometry with perfect symmetry to achieve highly accurate channel balance. The Nd7 also has an optimised pole gap for superior linearity and cross talk characteristics, this provides a far wider soundstage than the previous models. This new cartridge is created with miniaturised parallel coils which are wound in house utilising 38-micron wire with just 1275 turns. This produces a low inductance, low impedance generator giving vastly improved high frequency response. This is a true ellipse created by an elliptical grinding process made from polycrystalline manmade diamond. The design uses brand new generator geometry with perfect symmetry to achieve accurate channel balance. The Nd5 also has an optimised pole gap for superior linearity and cross talk characteristics. This provides a far wider soundstage than the previous models.

Rega Tonearms
Rega’s team have worked tirelessly to improve every aspect of the RB330 tonearm, offering improved ergonomics, usability and sonic performance. Features include a new bias assembly, re-designed stiffer vertical bearing housing, integrated arm clip, and an improved spring housing with easier to read numbers. Other improvements include a Rega made, low capacitance phono cable terminated with high quality ‘Neutrik’ plugs, improved lower friction precision horizontal and vertical bearings, and a re-designed 100 g mild steel balance weight.
Designed using the latest 3D CAD & CAM technology, the RB330 is the culmination of more than 35 years of tonearm design experience. The RB220 is the latest incarnation of one of Rega’s most popular tonearms, taking full advantage of their brand new arm tube and the current three point arm mounting system. Each RB220 is meticulously hand assembled, creating a precision crafted tonearm achieving extremely low friction levels and performance way beyond the expectations of a product at this price point.
The RB220 uses a custom one piece aluminium arm tube, carefully manufactured to optimise performance and reduce stress on the Rega designed ultra low friction polymer bearings (patent pending). Each tonearm is meticulously hand assembled using custom Rega made tools and torque settings to guarantee optimum performance. This level of care ensures perfect tracking and maximises the amount of information the cartridge can extract from the record surface.
The latest version of RB220 now has adjustable bias allowing greater compatibility with a wider range of cartridges. The Rega designed bias / anti skate system adjusts the amount of bias as the tonearm tracks the record ensuring even tracking throughout playback.

This innovative book opens with an in-depth history of the company from the birth of its founder, Roy Gandy, to the present day, detailing the key events and the creation of new products along the way.

Replacing the multi award winning What Hi-Fi? Product of the Year (RP3) was never going to be an easy task. It took Rega’s team of designers headed up by Roy Gandy, two years to develop the all new ‘Planar 3’ following the biggest re-design of the iconic ‘Three’ model ever seen. The ‘Planar 3’ is a completely new turntable carrying over just two components from the previous RP model.
